But, today the picture of birth is full of fear. This fear is one of being alone in the hospital for the majority of the world’s population.
All because of fear from a virus known as SARS-COV-2 and the disease attributed to it called COVID-19…
Across the globe, many women have seen their rights as a birthing woman stripped away from them in a matter of weeks. Hospitals have banned visitors and limited the number of support roles a birthing woman may have with her. And, some have even banned any support person including the father of the baby!
Each woman needs to arm herself with the real facts and information about SARS-COV-2 and the current worldwide guidelines for pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding during this pandemic.
